КОНЦЕПТУАЛЬНІ ЗАСАДИ «ОСОБЛИВИХ ВІДНОСИН» США ТА ВЕЛИКОЇ БРИТАНІЇ

Анотація. У статті проаналізовано «особливі відносини» між Сполученими Штатами Америки та Великою Британією. Попри те, що термін набув більш широкого вжитку в науці і застосовується стосовно різних держав та регіонів, важливим є його автентичне розуміння та історичні витоки. Мета статті – дослідити феномен американсько-британських відносин, проаналізувати історико-політичну думку щодо цього питання та сформулювати ознаки та характерні риси відносин між США та Сполученим Королівством.

Хронологічні межі обумовлені першим згадуванням терміну у 1946 році та президентським строком Дональда Трампа, який обіймав посаду у 2017–2021 рр.

Методологія статті. Використано метод історіографічного аналізу, та історико-порівняльний метод для аналізу опублікованих досліджень з історії «особливих відносин».

Наукова новизна статі полягає у визначенні особливостей відносин США та Великої Британії за каденції Дональда Трампа.

Автор доходить висновку, що «особливі відносини» є унікальним явищем, сформованим у процесі довготривалої взаємодії двох держав, що мають спільну історичну пам’ять та нерозривні культурні зв’язки. Найбільш чутливими сферами взаємодії США та Великої Британії є політична, військова та культурна. Держави зближує спільна історія, ідеологія лібералізму, спільні зовнішньополітичні цілі, близькі взаємини між політичними лідерами держав.
