НА НАУКОВІЙ ТА ОСВІТНІЙ НИВАХ АМЕРИКАНІСТИКИ Й СХОДОЗНАВСТВА: З НАГОДИ 50-РІЧЧЯ МАКАРА ТАРАНА

Анотація: Важливу роль у сучасному науковому та освітньому поступі відіграють яскраві особистості, особливо у новаторських важливих напрямках для України. До таких постатей належить один з засновників та заступник голови редколегії фахового наукового журналу «Американська історія та політика» Макар Таран, якому у серпні 2024 р. виповнилося 50 років.

Тому метою статті є висвітлення освітньої, наукової, громадської діяльності Макара Тарана у контексті розвитку всесвітньої історії, сходознавства та американістики, історії міжнародних відносин в Україні.

Наукова новизна статті полягає в тому, що досліджено доробок в освітній та науковій галузях унікальної особистості, яка успішно поєднала  діяльність в різнопланових напрямках історичної науки.

Методологічною основою дослідження є методи історичної біографістики, проблемно-хронологічний та аналітичний методи.

Висновки. Завдяки викладацькій роботі Макара Тарана виховано покоління істориків сходознавців та американістів на історичному факультеті в межах розвитку освітніх програм кафедри нової та новітньої історії зарубіжних країн КНУ Тараса Шевченка «Сходознавство» та «Американістика та європейські студії (з поглибленим вивченням іноземних мов)». Викладацька робота М. Тарана у Дипломатичній Академії при МЗС України сприяла підготовці нинішнього покоління українських дипломатів.

Справжнім науковим осередком розвитку української китаїстики є Центр дослідження новітньої історії Китаю з сучасною мультимедійною аудиторією «Китайська мрія», заснований доцентом М. Тараном на історичному факультеті у 2016 р. завдяки спонсорській підтримці посольства КНР в Україні.

З метою гуртування українських американістів М. Тараном було створено у 2016 р. «Українську асоціацію американістики», яку він нині й очолює. За сприяння Асоціації у 2016 р. було започатковано й нині видається один з найрейтинговіших українських історичних журналів «Американська історія та політика».

Ключові слова: доцент Макар Таран, Сходознавство, історія Китаю, американсько-китайські відносини, американістика, зовнішня політика США, міжнародні відносини.
